The Zoo de La Palmyre is a French zoo located on the Atlantic coast of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine, in Charente-Maritime, on the Arvert peninsula, between Royan and the Ile d’Oléron. Created in 1966 by Claude Caillé.

It covers 18 hectares within the resort town of La Palmyre, wedged between the forest of Coubre and the forest of Combots d’Ansoine. In the zoo, landscaped to be beautiful garden, visitors can observe more than 1500 animals and 115 species, following a path over 4 kilometers long.

The zoo, a permanent member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA), is committed to ex situ conservation and is a participant in the European Endangered Species Programmes (EEP). It is also a member of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums (WAZA).

It is one of the top-ten most visited zoos in France, with more than 700,000 visitors in 2014.
